SugarCreek strives to remain cognizant of the world around us. Our Sustainability strategy focuses on lowering our impact while simultaneously formulating a continued presence in the food manufacturing industry. SugarCreek has an opportunity to improve the mark it has on the future of the food manufacturing industry. 
 

SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS:

SugarCreek Bees

  • SugarCreek launched a Bee Homesteading project in April, 2018. The project aims to raise awareness about the vital role that bees play in the life cycle of the food industry. It also aims to beautify and enhance SugarCreek’s greenspaces. Interested in how the bees are doing? You can follow their progress on our blog. 

Environmental Management System

  •  SugarCreek developed an Environmental Management System (EMS), which is a company-specific system that identifies exact methods for managing environmental standards. The system is based on the “Plan, Do, Check, Act” model, which inspires continuous improvement and examination of environmental maintenance.

Awards

  •  In 2020, all SugarCreek facilities received Tier II Environmental Recognition Awards from the North American Meat Institute.
